Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day and two area organizations are teaming up for a registration event.
The Hopkinsville-Christian County League of Women Voters and members of Beta Rho Omega will be at the Downtown Farmers Market from 7 a.m. until noon.
Anyone who will be 18 before November 3 can register. Just bring your smart phone, basic contact information, and Social Security Number. Organizers say if you do not have a smart phone, you will still be able to register.
National Voter Registration Day was first observed in 2012. It is non-partisan and is designed to celebrate democracy. Celebrated on the fourth Tuesday in September, it urges citizens to vote.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed at the event.
