The Christian County 4-H Club will be hosting a Christian County bale trail, where participants will decorate and sculpt hay bales into creative displays.
Kaitlyn Metzger with the Christian County Extension Office says they’re excited to bring a fun, family friendly competition to the area and it’s all in the name of raising money to benefit the 4-H Club—anyone is welcome to participate.
She says they’re partnering with the Hopkinsville Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, who will make a map showing all the bale art locations.
Metzger says sponsorships levels to participate include Clover and Emerald, which come with different perks, and the contest categories are separated into small and large—first and second place will be awarded in each category for sponsorship level.
Judging of bale sculptures will take place on October 16, and a People’s Choice Award will take place on Facebook between October 16 and October 29. Forms to register and payment need to be turned into the Christian County Extension Office by October 7.
