Rotary Auction heads into final night with momentum

The 70th WHOP Rotary Radio Auction heads into the final night with positive momentum after a big Friday night.

A total of 142 items sold for $13,221 last night and Hour Club donations totaled $18,521. The cumulative total for the week sits at $134,379.

Auction Chair Scott Cowan says the most important success story this week has been keeping Rotarians safe during a pandemic.

Local merchants have responded this week by donating items for the regular and big boards and Cowan is making a final plea to the community for donations of $174 or more to the Hour Club.

All money raised helps local high school graduates attend Hopkinsville Community College through the Rotary Scholars Program.

The auction continues Saturday from 6 until all items are sold.
