An arrest has been made in connection with the armed robbery of a store last week in Lyon County.
Deputies and KSP were called to Molloy’s Korner convenience store about nine miles north of Eddyville on the afternoon of September 12 and learned that a man had allegedly tried to cut or stab a clerk during a robbery.
The perpetrator fled the scene prior to police arrival, but investigation in the days after led to 59-year old Paul Franks of Kuttawa being identified as a suspect. He was taken into custody following a traffic stop Thursday and interviewed at the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department, where he was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and tampering with evidence.
