The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers split a doubleheader. Adam Wainwright worked seven innings to come away with the win for St. Louis in a 4-2 victory in the opener. The Brew Crew won the nightcap 6-0. The Redbirds remain on the road opening a series at Pittsburgh this evening.
The Chicago Cubs scored in the bottom of the tenth inning for a 3-2 win over the Cleveland Indians at Wrigley Field. Chicago’s Javier Baez singled in the winning run. The Cubs are off today.
Freddie Freeman scored on a balk for the Atlanta Braves lone run as they fell to the Baltimore Orioles 5-1. The Braves continue their road trip at the New York Mets tomorrow night.
