Pennyrile Electric tells customers of possible bill assistance

Pennyrile Electric is letting customers know that they could be eligible for some assistance to help pay their electric bills.

The federal funding is through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and may be able to help pay home energy costs through a direct payment to the utility account with Pennyrile Electric, especially those struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility requirements are based on the customer’s income and how many people live in the household. To apply, complete an application and submit required documentation to the Pennyrile Allied Community Service office.

The local office is located at 1100 South Liberty Street in Hopkinsville and serves Christian, Caldwell, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg Counties.
