CCHD reports two new deaths, 29 new COVID-19 cases

The Christian County Health Department is reporting two new COVID-19 related deaths and 29 new confirmed cases in Tuesday’s update.

According to a press release, the county’s 16th and 17th COVID-19 related deaths are a 49-year old white female and a 76-year old white male, both of whom had other underlying health conditions.  The two cases were unrelated from each other.

There were 29 new cases from Monday to Tuesday, bringing the overall total up to 1,095. The number of active cases decreased to 164, which means 914 individuals have recovered from the virus.

The health department urges people to keep up those health guidelines, such as frequent hand washing and social distancing, and wearing a mask while in public.
