A Hopkinsville High School student has been named a 2021 National Merit Scholarship semifinalist in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
Keegan Pendleton, who attended Hopkinsville High School, now continuing his studies at the Gatton Academy on the campus of Western Kentucky University. According to a news release from Christian County Public Schools Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, becoming a semifinalist is awarded to less than one percent of high school scholars—colleges often base their highest scholarship awards on the National Merit Scholarship designation.
Keegan is the son of Scott and Terri Pendleton.
