The Christian County Health Department is reporting eight new cases of COVID-19 from Thursday to Friday locally.
According to an update, those new cases puts the overall total at 1,015—of that, only 235 are considered active and 766 individuals have recovered from the virus. There are currently 47 active cases in the pediatric age group, 123 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 46 in the older adult category and 19 in the elderly age group.
Christian County has had 14 COVID-19 related deaths.
