Todd Co. residents will be able to vote in-person at usual polling places in November election

Todd Countians will be able to vote in-person at their usual polling places during the upcoming November election if they so choose, while still having the option to vote by mail.

Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Byran informed Todd Fiscal Court of the Board of Elections plan Friday morning, saying it was a relief to her that people will be able to vote where they would in a typical year on Election Day—there will also be a central voting center as required by the state.

There will be early voting available in the three weeks leading up to the election, according to O’Bryan, and people can still request an absentee ballot by going online to govoteky.com.

She also warned people about a third-party vendor who has been sending notices in the mail asking people to make sure they’re registered to vote, and it is causing some confusion, as many who have received them are already registered.  Anyone with questions about their voter registration status can call the Todd County Clerk’s Office at 270-265-9966.

Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith says the CARES Act funding continues to trickle in and they continue to work through the process of receiving those monies.
