Car parade to be held Monday in support of Christian Care Communities

There will be parades this coming Monday in Hopkinsville to show support for the senior citizens living at Christian Care Communities, and the health care workers who have dedicated their lives to caring for them.

Christian Care Communities recently had an outbreak of COVID-19 in the Christian Health Center, and the staff have been working harder than ever with reduced staff and the need to protect their clients.  According to a news release, there will be vehicle parade and prayer vigil on Monday to show support and love to those dealing with the increased stress. There will be two parades—at 2:30 p.m. and at 4:30 p.m.—to accommodate schedules for those who work but want to participate, and also to capture both the day and evening shifts to show support.

At the mid-point of each parade, the cars will stop in front of the Health Center, and Rev. Wade Miller from First Christian Church will lead a prayer. Participants are encouraged to wave, honk their horns and decorate their cars—lineup will take place on Sterling Drive.
