The United States Golf Association announced today Pinehurst Number 2 will be the site of the US Open in the years 2029, 2035, 2041, 2047 along with the 2024 event. The USGA adds Pinehurst will become the first “anchor site” for the event. The 2020 US Open begins next week at Winged Foot outside of New York City.
Brooks Koepka announced on Twitter this afternoon he will not be playing in next week’s US Open. Koepka said he was looking forward to getting 100 percent healthy and playing again soon. Koepka-who’s battling a knee and hip related injury-has won two of the last three US Open titles.
