COVID-19 testing by the Christian County Health Department continues on weekdays at Tie Breaker Park.
Amanda Sweeney of the health department appeared Wednesday morning on WHOP and says the positivity rate at the site has been just over 10 percent and clarified that multiple positive tests for one person only counts as one case.
Testing at Tie Breaker Park is from 9 until 11 a.m. on weekdays and the Christian County Health Department will be at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds for testing Saturday from 8 until 11 a.m. in conjunction with the Aaron McNeil House, which will be hosting its monthly commodity distribution event.
When someone tests positive, Sweeney says there are six health department contact tracers who identify and contact individuals who are direct contacts with known cases.
She says Christian County’s cases have varied from isolated individuals and clusters of people in a family or facility.
