Possible resolution discussions continue in 2016 Oak Grove murder case

A pretrial hearing was held in Christian Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon for the two men accused in the 2016 murder of 19-year old De’Andre Palmer in Oak Grove.

A continuance was granted until another pretrial hearing on September 24, to allow more time for a possible resolution to be reached in the case.  Clayton Brown represents Leonardo Miller and informed him that if it is not resolved by that time, they intend to set a jury trial date.

Judge John Atkins set the pretrial hearing for 11:30 a.m. on September 24. Arrest warrants for James and Miller allege they fatally shot Palmer in July of 2016. Police say they took cash and other items from Palmer’s pockets before putting his body in a closet. Palmer’s body was later moved from the residence and it was discovered a few days later by an Oak Grove police officer near Ghost Bridge on Carter Road.
