Former UK hoopster Anderson passes away

Basketball fans are mourning the loss of Dwight Anderson, born in Dayton, OH who passed away over the weekend at age 59. Anderson, known by the nickname, The Blur, starred for the University of Kentucky before transferring to USC to finish his college career.

Selected by Washington in the second round of the NBA Draft in 1982, Anderson played one season with the Denver Nuggets before spending five seasons in the Continental Basketball Association, where he was the CBA scoring champ in 1985.
