CCPS resuming in-person instruction Tuesday

Students will return to public schools in Christian County Tuesday morning for in-person instruction nearly six months after going to non-traditional learning due to the pandemic.

As previously reported, elementary students are returning to traditional five-day-a-week instruction at 100 percent capacity. Meanwhile, middle and high school students are attending in-person two days a week and using non-traditional instruction the other three.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel says measures are in place at each school to keep students safe and healthy.

He says the district has prepared to resume instruction in buildings and he believes it will be beneficial to the students to be back.

Parents were given the option for their students to attend the Virtual Learning Academy, with another enrollment period ending 5 p.m. Monday.
