An Elkton home was damaged by fire Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to 434 Allensville Street just after 8 a.m. and found smoke coming from the home.
The Elkton Fire Department says the fire appears to have begun near a downstairs closet and it caused significant fire, smoke and water damage.
The residents were not at home and cause of the blaze is unknown.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents.
