The Bluegrass Golf Foundation announced Thursday that it’s developed an annual Sportsmanship Award and Invitational tournament to celebrate the accomplishments of former University of Kentucky and Lyon County native Cullan Brown. Brown passed away August 4th following a nearly year-long battle with cancer.
According to a news release, the Cullan Brown Award will recognize sportsmanship, playing ability, integrity, friendship, and love of the game through participation on the Bluegrass Golf Tour. The award will recognize accomplishments by a boys and girls BGT member.
The inaugural Cullan Brown Invitational will take place on October 31st, at Paxton Park Golf Club in Paducah and November 1 at the Calvert City Country Club.
