The Big Ten has been facing pressure from multiple parties to reverse their decision, which has ramped up to new levels this week.Insiders say the Big Ten is possibly looking to either re-start the season on October 10th or to wait and begin playing games just after Thanksgiving in November.

The son of Illinois football coach Lovie Smith is facing sex trafficking charges in Arizona. Mikal Smith was indicted last week on a number of charges. Smith and a co-defendant are accused of maintaining a prostitution enterprise from December 2018 and September 2019 in Arizona’s Maricopa County. Lovie Smith has been the head football coach at Illinois since 2016. He also coached the Bears from 2004 to 2012, including the team’s Super Bowl appearance in 2007.
