The Lexington Herald Leader has released its preseason poll for Class 5-A.
Defending state champion Covington Catholic is first followed by runner up from a year ago Frederick Douglass. Bowling Green is third, South Warren is fifth and Owensboro is sixth. Christian County and Graves County are among teams receiving votes.
