Cardinals blast Reds

The St. Louis Cardinals scored six first-inning runs and never looked back in a 16-2 thrashing of the Cincinnati Reds last night. Reds starter Sonny Gray could only manage to get two outs before being pulled, and Cardinals designated hitter Brad Miller homered twice and drove in seven-runs during the blowout. The Redbirds had 23 hits in the game. The teams meet again this evening with pregame at 5:10 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
