A request for bond reduction was denied Wednesday afternoon in Christian Circuit Court for the man accused in the August, 2019 shooting death of Terrill Moore.
Attorney Hannah Peveler requested bond be reduced from $500,000 for Robert Torian, citing long delays in obtaining some matters of evidence in the case.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen argued Torian is a danger to the community and asked Judge Andrew Self to leave bond the same.
Judge Self ultimately agreed and denied the motion.
The judge did urge the Commonwealth to improve their communication with Torian’s defense team.
The next pretrial conference was set for October 7. The original arrest warrant from Hopkinsville police says Torian and Moore had been in an argument while both were passengers in a vehicle on McHenry Street. Torian was in the back seat when he exited, opened the front passenger door and allegedly shot Moore in the head.
