North Todd principal talks about start of school year

North Todd Elementary School Principal Bruce Voth says the start of the new academic year with non-traditional instruction has gotten off to a positive start, but he’s looking forward to hopefully seeing students back in the building next month.

Voth says he only knows of about a half-dozen students still in need of a device to complete the curriculum at home and they’re working to address those needs.

Access to a high-speed internet connection in north Todd County has improved in the last few years, but Voth says a couple teachers are going to Kirkmansville to meet with students in-person.

The plan is for Todd County students to return to in-person instruction October 12 following fall break and Voth says he, teachers and students are looking forward to that day.

Families can still sign up on the district’s website to get a hot lunch and cold breakfast through the school’s cafeteria.
