MLB is moving next year’s draft from mid-June to July 11-13 in Atlanta as part of the All-Star break. The move provides teams with more time between the draft and minor league seasons ending and allows for more high school and college showcases. The league says the draft will be between 20 and 30 rounds after this year’s draft was just five rounds.
