CCPS Superintendent to recommend in-person plan to school board Thursday

Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Chris Bentzel intends for students to return to some type of in-person instruction in the near future and will present his recommendation to the school board Thursday evening.

In a video announcement, Superintendent Bentzel says he will recommend high school and middle school students returning to in-person instruction on a hybrid plan, while elementary students would return on a traditional, five days a week model.

He did not mention a possible start date—he says they will also reopen enrollment for the Virtual Learning Academy on Wednesday through Friday of this week.

The board would have to approve any reopening plans and a start date and full showing of what the proposed models would look like will be discussed at the meeting on Thursday at 6 p.m.  It can be viewed online through the district website or on the Christian County Tech YouTube page.
