Tributes are pouring in on social media following the death this morning of former Georgetown coach John Thompson at age 78. He led the Hoyas to three NCAA Final Fours in the 1980’s, winning the 1984 national championship. Thompson developed players who are now in the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame including Patrick Ewing. Allen Iverson, Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo.
