An appeals court Friday upheld the decision of Churchill Downs to award the 2019 Kentucky Derby victory to Country House. The court dismissed a lawsuit the owners of Maximum Security, the horse that crossed the finish line first but was disqualified for interference, making runner-up Country House the winner. This year’s Derby has been rescheduled for next Saturday, September 5.
