Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced 792 new cases of COVID-19 in the state Friday and eight new deaths.
According to Friday’s update, the overall total of coronavirus cases in the state is up to 46,757 and the death toll is at 918 Kentuckians who have been lost to the virus. As of Friday, there have been at least 860,738 coronavirus tests performed in Kentucky and the positivity rate currently stands at 4.50 percent, down from the previous day. At least 10,266 Kentuckians have recovered from the virus.
Governor Beshear urged everyone to not let themselves grow lax, as this virus is still very much active in the state.
The Tennessee Department of Health is reporting 1,636 new cases of COVID-19 there, up to 150,815 and 28 new deaths, up to 1,701. Montgomery County gained 32 cases, Robertson County saw two additional cases and Stewart County gained one new case.
