Suspect sought for Guthrie burglary

Guthrie police are asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect sought in connection with an early Tuesday morning burglary at a business.

Chief Dean Blumel says 49-year old Troy Groves burglarized the Marathon on State Street and left on foot with a trash bag full of cigarettes just before 3 a.m.

Police found him at his home on State Street still holding the bag, but he fled on foot and was able to get away.

Groves was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with horizontal blue and white stripes and dark blue jeans.

Anyone knowing his whereabouts should call Todd County Dispatch at 270-265-2501.

Groves was arrested on a robbery charge at the Russsellville IGA in April and was arrested in September of last year for burglaries at a Guthrie liquor store.
