Beshear won’t stop fall sports from being played

During his Monday Covid-19 briefing, Governor Andy Beshear said he would not overturn the KHSAA measure to start fall sports next month, but adds he has concerns the seasons will not be completed:

Meanwhile, Fayette County schools decided in a meeting last night to go along with the KHSAA measure and allow students to begin fall sports practices. However, the Lexington Herald Leader reports FCPS superintendent Manny Caulk said things could change if the pandemic worsens. Jefferson County board members voted last night to go along with a phased-in plan as we reported yesterday.
