South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Executive Director Carter Hendricks appeared on WHOP Friday morning and says several local industries are hiring and he’s working on getting new opportunities in the region in the future.
Hendricks and other industry leaders had been set to travel to Huntsville, Alabama next week to meet with aerospace leaders about partnership opportunities, but he says those meetings will now be held virtually.
He says several local industries are hiring right now and he encouraged job-seekers to check in with the Kentucky Career Center on Riverfront Drive.
Hendricks noted Riken Elastomers recently received the Governor’s Award for Safety for 800,000 hours with no injuries.
