Kentuckians can vote absentee, early or on Election Day

Voters in Kentucky will be able to vote absentee by mail, vote early in-person over a four-week period, or vote on Election Day with more locations than in the primary.

Christian County Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries says you’ll be able to go to govoteky.com by early next week and request a mail-in absentee ballot.

The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot will be October 9 and it must be postmarked on or before November 3 for it to count.

Phase 2 will be early in-person voting, which begins October 5 and lasts for four weeks in Christian County.

The courthouse and the to-be-determined second location will be open from 8 until 4 weekdays. There will also be four Saturdays of voting—from 8 until noon October 10 and 17 and from 8 until 4 October 24 and 31.

Humphries says the Bruce Convention Center will again be open as a voting “supercenter” Election Day, but there will also be additional sites to be finalized in the near future.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Anyone with questions about the election can call the Christian County Clerk’s Office at 270-887-4105 or by email at christiancountyelections@gmail.com.
