WKU AD Stewart says football season is pushing ahead

Western Kentucky athletics director Todd Stewart spoke with member of the Bowling Green Rotary Club on Wednesday. The Bowling Green Daily News reports Stewart said the Hilltoppers are planning on two football games in September in what he termed as a “cautious start”. The season opener is at Louisville on September 12th and the Hilltoppers will host Liberty on September 19th.

Sources tell Stadium.com Conference USA schools in the East Division-who include WKU and Middle Tennessee-will play seven conference games this season while teams in the West Division will play eight. East Division teams are playing only seven games due to Old Dominion canceling its football season.
