Unemployment was up from June to July in Kentucky and higher than one year ago.
Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary July unemployment rate was 5.7 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics.
That was up 1.3 percent from June and up 1.4 percent from the 4.3 percent recorded for the state one year ago.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for July was 10.2 percent, down from 11.1 percent in June, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
