Elkton man arrested following pursuit

A vehicle pursuit Wednesday afternoon in Todd County led to the arrest of the driver on multiple charges.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy David Hutcheson attempted to stop 38-year old Robert Morgan of Elkton on Highland Lick Road after seeing him cross the center line multiple times, according to an arrest citation, which says Morgan did not stop and turned onto KY 181.

He reached speeds of 100 mph and made several turns before wrecking out on Collier Springs Road. He also damaged the deputy’s cruiser with his car.

Morgan attempted to flee on foot and allegedly kicked Deputy Hutcheson before being arrested.

He’s charged with DUI, fleeing or evading police, third-degree assault of an officer, possession of meth and marijuana, several other charges, and he was sought on multiple warrants.
