CCPS sixth grade bands’ instrument testing is Tuesday, Thursday

Christian County Public Schools sixth grade bands’ instrument testing will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Christian County Middle School Performing Arts Center.

Music Central of Hopkinsville will be available to help students test instruments for sixth Grade Band upon the return of in-person instruction, according to a news release.

To adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, instruments will be sanitized with an ethanol based wipe, sprayed with sanitizing mist, and will be placed in a UV light cabinet for 15 minutes to ensure complete disinfecting.

If a student is interested in joining sixth grade band and the family does not feel comfortable with that process, the school can select the instrument by identifying the student’s physical features and pairing them with the instrument that is the best fit.

Attending this event does not mean a student is committed to sixth grade band. The event is to ask any questions you may have and to potentially choose an instrument.
