Arraignment was held Monday afternoon for the man charged with the Friday morning shooting death of 39-year old Tiffany Hinton Gray on East First Street.
District Judge Foster Cotthoff entered a not guilty plea to one count of murder for 20-year old Tyresse Hollowell and appointed him a public defender until he is able to obtain private counsel.
Hollowell’s $1 million bond was left the same for the time being.
Hollowell allegedly shot Gray about 1:30 a.m. Friday on East First near Rozelle Avenue.
A second shooting victim, 17-year old Kanina Willingham, was taken to a Nashville hospital with severe injuries following the incident.
Hopkinsville police say a male juvenile allegedly connected to the incident also turned himself in over the weekend and is charged with felony possession of a handgun by a minor.
Hollowell will appear for a preliminary hearing August 24 in Christian District Court.
