A Hopkinsville man was arrested for assault and wanton endangerment Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly punched the mother of his child and pointed a gun at her during a dispute on Dale Hollow Drive.
An arrest citation for 21-year old Timothy Winston of Hopkinsville says he went to the victim’s home for custody exchange when an argument ensued. Winston allegedly slapped and punched the woman while holding their two-year old child and then allegedly retrieved a handgun in his vehicle and pointed it at the woman while she was holding the toddler.
Police say the victim had redness and swelling on her face and an open wound on her lip.
Winston was arrested for first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving a stolen firearm, trafficking in marijuana and fourth-degree domestic assault.
