Kentucky Derby to have limited spectators at Churchill Downs

Fewer than 23-thousand fans will be in attendance for this year’s Kentucky Derby. Churchill Downs officials released a 62-page health and safety plan for the 146th running of the Derby. Its date was pushed back to September 5th. The plan calls for no more than 14-percent of the record capacity set at the 2015 race. No one will be allowed in the infield. Everyone attending will have their temperature checked and will have to wear face coverings. Seating will be made so social distancing can be maintained. There will be no standing room only or walk around tickets sold.
