Ky. gains 573, Gov. to set down restaurant, bar guidance

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 573 new cases of COVID-19 in Friday’s update, along with four new deaths.

Governor Beshear urged people to maintain those health guidelines, such as frequent and thorough handwashing practices, social distancing and especially wearing a mask as they head into a nice weekend.

The governor says come Monday, his office will have additional guidance for bars and restaurants across the state.Bars and restaurants are both going to be expected to have their last item served at 10 p.m. Then there is going to be an hour to let people eat and drink before leaving.  He also expects for capacity to return to 50 percent indoor capacity, after limiting it to 25 percent recently.

The 573 new cases puts the overall total in the state at 33,796 and the four new deaths puts that total a 764. The positivity rate currently stands at 5.57 percent and at least 8,589 Kentuckians have recovered from the virus.

The Tennessee Department of Health is reporting an additional 2,432 cases of COVID-19, up to 118,782, and 20 new deaths, up to 1,206.  Montgomery County gained 68 cases, Robertson County saw 15 new cases and Stewart County has 73 cases in total.
