Golfers had a delightful day to play Thursday at the Christian County Invitational, contested at Western Hills Golf Course. Hopkinsville’s James Folz followed up his medalist title at the Hopkinsville Invitational earlier this week with a second place finish with a two under par 70. He led the Tigers who had a 317 team total which also featured a 78 from Evan Pyle and an 81 score for Will Binkley.
Christian County had a 357 team score with the Colonels led by Micah Smith with 78 and Landon Hunt with 83. University Heights had a 388 team score and were led by Jiles Wyatt with 73, good for a fourth place tie, individually.
Greenwood won the team competition with a 302 team score while Trigg County’s A team finished fourth with 312 led by Hunter Reynolds who finished third individually with 72. Madisonville’s Jackson Hill was the medalist with a four under 68.
