Hopkinsville man arrested for alleged internet sex crimes against children

An investigation by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch has led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man for alleged internet sex crimes against children.

KSP says the investigation was initiated after discovering 44-year old Clinton Shepherd of Hopkinsville allegedly possessed prepubescent child sexual abuse material online.

A search warrant was executed at his home Wednesday, resulting in the seizure of computer equipment.

Shepherd is charged with 19 counts of first-degree possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor and 19 counts of first-degree distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.
