A Princeton man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly leaving three small children unattended.
Princeton police were notified of a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of East Locust Street a few minutes before 6 p.m. and determined no physical altercation had occurred. They advised both parties to separate for the evening, according to a news release.
Officers were called to assist a Caldwell County deputy on a traffic stop about 10:15 p.m. on North Cave Street and recognized the driver, 25-year old Zachary Blair of Princeton, as one of the parties from the previous call.
Police became worried about Blair’s children who he had been left to care for.
Investigation determined Blair had left an infant and two other children—ages one and two—at home unattended.
Blair was arrested for three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and abandonment of a minor.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office charged him with fleeing or evading police, DUI and other counts.
