The St. Louis Cardinals issued a statement today naming some of the players who tested positive for COVID-19. The players include Yadier Molina and Paul DeJong. The Cardinals series with the Detroit Tigers was postponed due to the outbreak.
The Atlanta Braves have placed right-hander Mike Soroka on the 45-day injured list following his season-ending torn right Achilles tendon in last night’s loss to the New York Mets. General manager Alex Anthopoulos said Soroka is expected to have surgery within a week. Anthopoulos wouldn’t place a timetable on Soroka’s recovery period.
