The Courier Journal reports the University of Kentucky will save $2 million in not playing non-conference games this year. That’s unless those schools push for financial compensation for those lost games. A UK spokesman says the university is in discussion with those schools and will offer comment once the talks are complete. The Southeastern Conference announced a 10 game conference only schedule last week.
