Muhlenberg County woman dies from COVID-19

A Muhlenberg County woman was among two new COVID-19 deaths announced Sunday by Governor Andy Beshear as Kentucky also picked up 463 new cases.

The two fatalities were a 70-year old woman in Muhlenberg County and 56-year old man from Oldham County.  Kentucky has now lost 742 residents to the virus since the pandemic began.

The 463 new cases bring the overall total to 31,185.

Governor Beshear is quoted in a news release as saying, “We appear to be seeing what we all hope is a plateau in the alarming growth of coronavirus cases in the commonwealth. It shows that wearing a mask, social distancing and not traveling to virus hot spots is working. We need to see this trend continue to avoid having to make more hard choices and sacrifices.”
