Herndon man injured in single-vehicle accident

A Herndon man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday evening on Lafayette Road.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Noisworthy says 37-year old Josh Moody of Herndon was southbound in the 7000 block of Lafayette just before 6 p.m. when his vehicle struck the right guard rail for an unknown reason.

Moody went across the road again and hit the left guard rail, then went off the road and struck several mail boxes before coming to rest.

He sustained a severely broken left arm and was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital, where he was in surgery Saturday night.
