Kentucky gains 527 new COVID-19 cases Saturday

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 527 new cases of COVID-19 and five new deaths Saturday.

That brings the overall total number of cases to 30,723 and at least 8,135 Kentuckians have recovered. The positivity rate stands at 5.22 percent and the governor says that’s lower than Friday’s number.

The coronavirus death toll now stands at 740 and an 84-year old woman from Simpson County was among the most recent fatalities.

Tennessee reported 2,225 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday and seven more deaths. Montgomery County added 31 cases, Robertson gained eight and Stewart County added two new confirmed cases.
