Brendan Todd shot a 5-under 65 to take a two-stroke lead into the weekend at the PGA Tour’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in Memphis. Todd stands at 11 under with Rickie Fowler at nine under and defending champion Brooks Koepka among a trio at seven under, four shots back. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 12th at four under while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker stands at four over, tied for 62nd.
Billy Andrade and Tommy Armour III share the lead at six under 66 heading into today’s second round of the PGA Tour Champions Ally Challenge in Grand Blanc, MI. Paducah’s Russ Cochran is tied for 45th at even par while Franklin’s Kenny Perry is tied for 54th at one over par.
Danielle Kang went more than six months without competing and looked as though she had never been away, playing bogey-free at Inverness Club for a 6-under 66 and a one-shot lead in the LPGA Drive On Championship. Princeton’s Emma Talley had an eight over 80 in her opening round. The second round takes place today.
