Western Kentucky Congressman James Comer says there’s no rush to approve a new pandemic stimulus bill, but he has a few priorities for whatever version of a plan that makes it to the president’s desk.
Speaking during a telephone town hall, Comer said he doesn’t believe there’s an impending financial crisis facing the country if a stimulus isn’t approved in the next few days.
He wants funding directed at getting kids back in school buildings this year in some capacity.
Another priority for Comer is giving liability protection to reopening businesses fearful of lawsuits if someone claims to contract the coronavirus in their establishment.
